The river at night

Cruise down the river in a motor-sampan, as the sun sets and egrets fly along the river to roost.

Ever wanted to know the names of the prominent stars? The stars in Chi Phat village are brilliant at night, unobscured by pollution and stray street light. Further down the river, they are clearer still. Use our star map to discover Sirius, Vega, Betelgeuse.

If you are lucky, you will also see fireflies on the riverside. On the boat is a display about fireflies - how and why they shine and co-ordinate in group flashing.

Food and drinks are not included - you can order food to take away at different restaurants, or prepare your own picnic. For a romantic evening, buy some wine from the bar!
